Packing notes that prevent late changes

Packing looks like a small detail until the order is ready and the carton no longer fits the warehouse rule, retailer request or shipping budget. That is why packing notes belong in the RFQ stage.
Include carton dimensions if they are fixed, max gross weight, barcode label position, inner bag requirements, insert language and pallet limits. Photos of an accepted carton from a previous order can remove a lot of guessing.
For repeat orders, keep the packing record with the product record. It saves time and reduces the chance that a small change becomes a late production issue.
