When a sample run is worth quoting first

For standard catalog items, a direct production quote is usually fine. For new tooling, tight tolerance parts or private-label packaging, a sample-first route is often cleaner.
A sample run gives both sides a real object to check: material feel, color, logo placement, assembly fit and packing method. It also makes inspection photos more useful because the reference point is clear.
The best sample request includes the number of samples required, what must be checked, who approves the sample and what changes would block mass production.
