Every product in this catalogue has survived a season with our team before you ever see it. This is what happens between a sample arriving and a listing going live.
On the water first
Rods and reels fish at least one full season – spring stain, summer weed, autumn frost. Gear that only works on bluebird days does not make the catalogue.
Drag, knots and salt
Reel drags run against a sprung scale through hundreds of pulls, lines break where their labels promise, and anything rated for salt spends a month by the coast between rinses.
The clumsy test
We drop things. Rods bounce off tailgates, boxes fall in mud, nets get stood on. Products that fail gracefully – and repair cheaply – beat products that fail expensively.
Repair before replace
We stock spare spools, handles, tips and mesh so a broken part is a small parcel, not a new purchase. Gear that cannot be repaired does not get shelf space.
