Precision & Testing

Calibrated fixtures, type tests and per-serial factory records.

Datasheets are easy to print. This page summarises how Loomstead machines earn their settings before the crate is sealed.

Measured on calibrated fixtures

Frames, beds and rails are measured on granite and laser fixtures with a scheduled verification cycle and an unbroken chain back to national standards. Alignment values are recorded per serial number, so the machine that leaves our floor can be returned to its commissioned state at any point in its life.

Type tests behind every design

New platforms pass vibration, thermal drift, guard-interlock and endurance sequences before release. Production then guards the design with loaded run tests and geometry checks on every machine built.

What every machine passes

  • Loaded run test at working speed with process material.
  • Frame and rail geometry verification against the design drawing.
  • Insulation and ground-continuity checks at rated voltage.
  • Guard, interlock and emergency-stop function checks.

Documentation

Each serial number ships with its factory test record. Commissioning checklists and preventive maintenance templates are available through the service team — request them with an inquiry.
