About Us

We size fans to a duty point, balance every impeller we weld, and measure what we ship.

Aerovent designs and builds industrial fans and ventilation equipment. We size to a duty point, balance every impeller we weld, and measure the aerodynamic performance of what we ship rather than reprinting a curve from a catalogue.

What we make

Centrifugal fans, axial fans, roof extract units, inline duct fans, spark-reduced fans for classified areas, and door air curtains. Six families, one selection process, one parts list.

How a fan gets selected here

An application engineer needs four numbers before a model is proposed: the volume flow, the static pressure the system will impose at that flow, the air temperature, and the air density at your altitude. With those we can place the duty point on a measured curve and tell you where it sits relative to peak efficiency and relative to the stall region. Without them, a fan selection is a guess with a part number attached to it.

Balancing and testing

Impellers are dynamically balanced in two planes. Aerodynamic performance is measured on a ducted test rig following the method described in ISO 5801, and sound power is determined using the ISO 13347 method, with the values stated separately for inlet, outlet and casing radiated. Measured points are recorded against the serial number, so a question three years later still has an answer.

Materials and coatings

Casing material, coating system and shaft seal are chosen against the air being moved: humidity, chemistry, particulate load and temperature. We ask for a gas analysis or a dust sample rather than a description, because a coating specified against the word ‘corrosive’ is a coating specified against nothing.

Support

Impellers, bearings, shaft seals and motors stay available for as long as a model is in service. Motor frames follow IEC 60072 dimensions so a replacement can be sourced locally when a shipment would take too long.
