CF-800-RB
An open radial-blade wheel for extract that carries dust, fibre or shavings, where a curved blade would pack and go out of balance.
Technical notes
Radial blades are the wrong choice for clean air and the right one for dirty air. The blade is flat and self-clearing, so material that would build up in the throat of a curved blade is thrown off instead of accumulating. The efficiency penalty is real; the alternative is an impeller that slowly goes out of balance in service.
Blades can be supplied with bolted replaceable wear liners in abrasive duty, so the wearing surface is changed without rebuilding the wheel. Liner material is chosen against the particle you are moving, which means we need a sample or an analysis before we quote it, not a description.
A shaft seal is fitted at the casing penetration. Where the extracted air is humid or corrosive, the seal specification changes and so does the shaft material; both are decided at order.
The casing has a bolted inspection door and a drain boss at the low point. On sites where the extract carries condensable material, the drain is not optional, and it is easier to specify it now than to cut one into a running fan.
Impellers are balanced to ISO 21940 grade G6.3 as standard, and to G2.5 where the fan is mounted on a structure that will transmit vibration into occupied space. Balancing reports are filed against the serial number.
