The commonest reason a piece of furniture disappoints is not that it is too big for the room. It is that nobody left space to use it.

Check it before you order

Put your room in and pick a piece. The plan is drawn to scale and checked against the same circulation figures we use at the bench: 900 mm behind a dining table edge so a chair can be pulled out and sat in, 600 mm down each side of a bed, 600 mm in front of a wardrobe door or a full-extension drawer, 400 mm between a sofa front and a coffee table, and a 750 mm route to walk past whatever is left.

Table dimensions in a list are meaningless. Here is every top we make at one true scale, with a seat placed for every 600 mm of usable edge.

Getting it to you

Within 300 miles of the workshop we deliver ourselves, two of us, into the room you want it in, and we take the packaging away. Beyond that it goes by insured blanket-wrap freight and you will get a date and a two-hour window.

Nothing here is stocked. When you order, your piece joins the bench queue and the lead time shown on its page is the real one. We would rather quote eleven weeks and mean it than quote four and write to you twice.
