Everything you feel happens in four millimetres.

Cutaway of a mechanical switch and keycap at rest, spring uncompressed
  1. 1.2mm

    Tactile bump

The wall you feel before the keypress counts. Miss it and the switch is linear.

  2. 2.0mm

    Actuation

The contact closes here — halfway down. Everything below this point is follow-through.

  3. 4.0mm

    Bottom-out

Where a loose board rattles. Gasket mount and three layers of foam turn it into a thud.

Doubleshot

The legend is not printed on the cap. It is a second shot of plastic poured through it, so the letter goes all the way down and can never wear off.

That is also the rule this whole site follows: two materials, never three. One surface, and a second colour that only ever shows through a cut in the first.

Colour on this page comes from the products themselves. The interface stays out of the way, because a keycap set gets to be the loud one.

Keyboards

Three boards. One feel.

Pick the feel first. The board comes second.

Force is measured at the actuation point on a 0.5 mm/s ramp. Travel is nominal and varies ±0.1 mm across a batch.

Abuse

We tested it the way you will eventually treat it.

Water goes around it, not into it.

Poured straight over the alphas. A gasket under the plate and a coated PCB send it off the sides. Tip it out, wipe it down, keep typing.

Hit it as hard as you like.

A full-force strike on the home row. The milled case does not flex, the gasket takes the shock, and every switch still registers afterwards.

Demonstration films shot on a production unit. They are not a certified ingress rating — ask us for the test report before you go swimming with it.
