A bath sheet is not a better bath towel, it is a bigger one. At 90 x 170 cm this holds roughly 55% more cotton than the 70 x 140 cm bath towel, which means more surface area to dry with and, unavoidably, more water to get rid of afterwards.
Who it suits
Buy it if you like to wrap rather than pat dry, or if you are tall enough that a bath towel does not close around you. Buy the bath towel instead if your bathroom has no window, no heated rail, and towels that already take their time. This is the single most common sizing mistake we see.
Drying time
On a heated rail a bath sheet is dry overnight. On an ordinary rail in a warm room it is dry in a day. Folded double over a radiator it may not dry at all, because only the outside is exposed. Hang it open, spread across the full width of the rail, and it will behave.
The cloth
Identical to the bath towel: long-staple cotton, low twist, double-sided terry, plain dobby border. The two pieces are woven from the same yarn lots so the colours sit together on a rail.
