Product detail
A slurry duty is not a clean-water duty with a safety factor. Solids concentration, particle size distribution and specific gravity all move the required head and the achievable efficiency, and the VS Series is selected on de-rated curves that account for them.
The casing is a bolted split design so the front liner and the impeller can be reached without unbolting the discharge. Wet ends are supplied in natural rubber for fine abrasive slurries and in 27% chrome white iron for coarse or sharp solids and for duties above the temperature rubber tolerates.
Impeller-to-liner clearance is adjustable externally while the pump is on the frame, which recovers efficiency between liner changes rather than after them. Drive is V-belt as standard so the speed can be trimmed on site as the ore changes.
