What are your vessels actually made of?
Every listing states its material in plain words: celadon-glazed stoneware for most pots and cups, white porcelain for the tasting sets, cast iron for kettles, oiled walnut and laminated bamboo for trays. If you need details on a specific glaze or batch, write to us and we ask the workshop directly.
My glaze looks different from the photo – is that normal?
Yes, and it is the point. Celadon pools a shade deeper in curves and varies kiln-load to kiln-load. Capacity and fit are held consistent; the exact shade is yours alone. We photograph the honest range on each listing.
Can I put teaware in the dishwasher?
Glazed stoneware mugs survive the dishwasher; we still recommend hand-washing anything with a lid, a mesh or a thin lip. Cast iron never goes in – empty it, rinse warm and dry it after each use. Every listing carries its own care line.
Will the cast iron kettle work on my induction hob?
Yes – cast iron works on gas, induction and electric hobs. Heat it with water in it, never dry, and dry it after use. It will outlast the hob.
How is fragile ceramic shipped?
Wrapped in paper, held in paper filler, boxed in plain kraft – and insured. If anything arrives chipped or cracked, photograph the box and the piece within 7 days and a replacement ships immediately while we handle the carrier.
How fast is shipping?
Orders leave the studio within 2 business days on tracked services. Orders over $60 ship free; smaller orders ship at a flat rate shown at checkout.
