Product detail
A canopy set is bought for one number: the sound pressure at the boundary. The PC-S200 is measured at 66 dB(A) at 7 m in free field, which is the figure that goes into an acoustic assessment. It is not the figure you will see on site if the set is installed in a corner formed by two hard walls, and the general arrangement drawing states that plainly so the assessment is done on the real geometry.
How the attenuation works
Air enters through a lined intake plenum, crosses the alternator and engine, and leaves through a lined discharge plenum. The exhaust silencer sits inside the canopy rather than on the roof, so the tail pipe is the only hot surface outside. Restricting airflow is the usual cause of a canopy set running hot, so the plenum free area is fixed by design and is not adjustable in the field.
Enclosure
Sheet steel, powder coated, with lockable doors on both long faces for access to the control panel, the filters and the battery. The tank is integrated into the baseframe and bunded to the full tank volume, so the set can stand on a plain concrete pad.
Fuel
The 400 L integrated tank gives roughly 12 hours at 75 per cent of prime rating. Where a longer autonomy is required, the set accepts a bulk tank feed through a float-switch day tank arrangement.
