VG-150
A solid wedge gate valve for on/off isolation on water, steam and hydrocarbon lines, built to the API 600 wall thickness and ASME B16.10 face-to-face.
The VG-150 is the valve most of our customers put in when a line has to be either fully open or fully shut and nothing in between. The solid wedge seats on two faces at once, so the closing force is shared and the seat contact does not depend on line pressure. Full bore means a pig or a brush passes through without a step to catch on.
Cast carbon steel or stainless bodies with a bolted bonnet and a spiral wound gasket. The bonnet joint is machined in the same setup as the body seat pockets, so the stem stays concentric with the seats after the bonnet is torqued. Wall thickness follows API 600 rather than the minimum permitted by ASME B16.34, which leaves corrosion allowance in the body rather than in the drawing.
Renewable seat rings are threaded and seal welded into the body. Standard trim is 13Cr; hardfaced seating surfaces are available where the medium carries solids or where the valve is expected to be cycled more often than a pure isolation duty would suggest. The stem is rolled thread, back seated so packing can be replaced with the line depressurised.
Handwheel up to DN250 and bevel gear from DN300, sized so the rim pull stays inside what one operator can apply at the maximum differential pressure on the datasheet. The mounting flange is machined to ISO 5211 so an electric or pneumatic actuator can be fitted later without changing the valve.
Line size, design pressure and temperature, the medium, and whether the valve is buried, insulated or lagged. Those five answers fix the class, the body material and the stem extension length.
