There is no hardware on the Wren. Each drawer front is scooped from behind so a finger can hook under the top edge, which means nothing to catch a sleeve on in the dark and nothing to work loose in ten years. The boxes are through-dovetailed at all four corners at a 1:6 slope, cut on the bandsaw and pared to the line by hand; you can see the end grain of the tails on the drawer side, which is the point. Drawers run on waxed wooden runners, not ball-bearing slides — quieter, and repairable with a candle stub.
