Upholstered beds usually arrive as a headboard bolted to a metal frame. The Lindow is upholstered end to end, rails included, so there is no cold steel edge to catch a shin on in the dark.
The headboard is a single plain panel 1180 mm from the floor: high enough to sit up against, low enough that it does not dominate a small room. Slatted ply deck, no box spring needed.
