Wrapping a full-weight bath towel around wet hair does two things badly: it is heavy enough to pull at the roots, and the coarse terry pile roughs up the cuticle, which is where a lot of frizz comes from. This is a lighter, finer cloth cut to the shape of a head.
The weave
280 GSM with a short, fine loop. It takes up less water than a bath towel by volume, but it makes contact with far more of the hair, so it draws water out faster in practice. The finer loop also means less friction against the cuticle.
How it stays on
Twist the tapered end, fold it back over the crown and hook the elastic loop over the button at the wide end. It holds well enough to make coffee and get dressed in. It is not designed to be slept in.
Care
Wash it with the towels at 40C. Skip fabric softener, which matters more here than anywhere else in the range: a softened hair towel stops absorbing almost immediately and there is very little cloth to compensate.
