Product detail
The number that decides whether a carpet extractor is any use is not solution pressure, it is how quickly the carpet can be walked on again. The CX-45 is built around recovery: a wide vacuum shoe, a strong airflow and a cylindrical brush that lifts pile instead of laying it flat.
Brush and solution
A 450 mm counter-rotating cylindrical brush agitates the pile while solution goes down at 6 bar through a fixed jet bar. Cylindrical brushes take less water into the backing than a rotary bonnet does, which is most of why the carpet comes back faster.
Recovery and drying
On a low-pile commercial carpet in a normally ventilated room, the machine leaves the floor walkable in about 45 minutes. That figure moves with pile, humidity and airflow, so treat it as a planning number rather than a promise, and dry-run a section before you commit to a room turnaround.
Maintenance
The brush drops out by hand for cleaning, which it needs after every use, and the recovery tank has a full-width lid so it can actually be reached and rinsed. A jet bar that is left blocked is the usual reason an extractor stops performing.
