Description
The Saddle Tan is the strap we fit most and the one we hand people who ask where to start. It is cut from vegetable-tanned leather that starts firm and breaks in within a week, taking on colour and sheen exactly where your wrist bends it. The cream saddle stitching is done with waxed thread and backstitched at the lugs, where straps actually fail.
Edges are painted, sanded and burnished twice, and the keepers are stitched rather than glued. Quick-release spring bars come fitted, so it goes on without a tool. Wear it a season and it will look better than the day it arrived – that is the point of honest leather.
