Description
Getting a plate right is harder than it looks. Too flat and everything slides; too deep and it becomes a bowl. This one sits between the two, with a low rim that rises just enough to hold a sauce.
The edge is finished by hand and left slightly irregular. Stack six of them and you will see the line wander — that is intentional, and it is the quickest way to tell a thrown plate from a cast one.
