About FoodDash
FoodDash is a redesign concept for a Hong Kong food-delivery and local commerce platform, born out of the DMD5306 “Redesigning a Problematic Website” project. It targets three frequent pain points of the original foodpanda experience:
- Chaotic flat navigation — replaced with a clear three-tab service split (Delivery / Grocery / Shops) and a sticky search bar with location chip.
- Over-simplified categorisation — restored visible category cards, quick-access chips and merchant trust badges.
- Low visibility of CTAs — high-contrast pink primary buttons, oversized hero CTAs, and prominent mobile bottom-nav for thumb access.
The result is a friendlier, more confident path from “arriving on the homepage” to “tracking my courier”.
