Atelier & Craft

Weighed by hand, rested in glass, filled at one bench - how every blend is made.

Every fragrance we sell is made in one porcelain-white room we call the atelier. This page is the honest tour – what happens between a raw material arriving and a flacon leaving.

Weighed by hand

Each batch starts at the brass balance: materials weighed gram by gram against the master formula, logged in the batch book, checked twice. We blend in quantities one perfumer can carry – if a batch cannot be lifted, it is too big for us.

Rested in glass

A fresh blend is loud and unfinished. Every batch rests in glass demijohns for a minimum of two weeks – longer for the woodier compositions – while the materials settle into each other. We date every vessel and taste the air above it weekly; bottling waits until the blend agrees with itself.

Filtered and filled

After resting, each batch is chilled, filtered bright and hand-filled into flacons. Caps are seated by hand, every tenth bottle is weighed, and each label lot is entered in the book. A batch that drifts from the master standard is reworked or poured away – it never ships as a quiet compromise.

Kept honest

Returned bottles and customer notes come back to the same bench, and twice a year the batch book decides what stays in the range. A short catalogue kept excellent beats a long one kept adequate – that is the whole business plan.
