The Lavender Marble is the bar we hand people who ask where to begin. Each batch starts on an olive oil base, takes a lavender essential oil blend, and is marbled by hand so no two bars share the same swirl. Six weeks on the cure rack leaves it firm, mild and long-lasting – a bar that keeps its shape in the dish instead of melting into it.
The scent is calm rather than loud: lavender first, a soft powdery finish after. Each bar is cut from the loaf, stamped with nothing, and wrapped in a plain kraft band that recycles with the newspapers.
