Sproutline Garden Goods began at a rented greenhouse bench with a box of tools that kept disappointing us – trowels that bent at the neck, gloves that wore through in a month, pruners that crushed more than they cut. We were gardeners first, and we started keeping a short list of the tools that actually earned their place at the bench. This shop is that list.
What we stock
Pruners and snips, hand tools, watering cans and wands, terracotta and glazed planters, seed starting kits, gloves and aprons, trellises, tool storage and ready-to-give gift sets – most of it from small workshops that have made the same pattern for decades. If an item stops meeting the standard, it quietly leaves the catalogue.
How we choose
- Bench-tried first: every candidate spends a season at our own greenhouse bench before it earns a listing.
- Repairable by design: standard bolts, replaceable blades, materials that mend – we avoid tools that are cheaper to bin than fix.
- Honest materials: forged steel, hardwood, clay and canvas that wear in rather than wear out.
