Description
The No.2 is the pruner that lives in an apron pocket from March to November. The forged carbon steel blade is honed to a fine bypass edge that slices green stems cleanly instead of crushing them, and the walnut handles are shaped for smaller and larger hands alike. A one-hand catch locks it closed on the way back to the rack.
Every pivot is a standard bolt you can tighten with a coin, the blade is replaceable, and the spring is stainless. Wipe it dry after wet work, add a drop of oil monthly, and this is a tool measured in decades rather than seasons.
