Fret & Grain started as a repair bench at the back of a rehearsal space: one tech, a drawer of strings, and a growing line of players asking where to buy the parts he actually trusted. The shop answered that question. Everything in this catalogue is here because it survived the bench – restrung, stepped on, dropped, gigged and still recommended.
What we stock
Strings, picks, straps, pedals, cables, tuners, cases, care kits and small studio gear – chosen piece by piece, never pallet by pallet. We favor nickel-wound and phosphor-bronze strings, hardwood and full-grain leather over plastics, and pedals with knobs you can understand while the band counts in.

How we work
- Bench-tested: every product line is used on real instruments in the workshop before it earns shelf space.
- Honest descriptions: materials and measurements exactly as they are – nickel-wound means nickel-wound.
- Play-it-forward advice: ask us anything; if the cheaper option is the right option, that is what we will say.
