FAQ

Strings, care, pedal power, shipping and returns answered.

Quick answers to what we get asked most. Anything else, ask us directly.

Which strings should I start with?

For acoustic, the Honeywood phosphor set in .012-.053 suits most guitars and most hands. For electric, the Silverline nickel-wound .010-.046 is the do-everything gauge. If you bend a lot or tune down, message us – gauge advice is free.

How often should I change strings?

Play daily: every four to six weeks. Play weekends: every couple of months. If the wound strings look grey or intonation drifts, they are past due. Wiping strings after playing roughly doubles their life.

Will the care oil suit my fretboard?

Our conditioning oil is for dark unfinished hardwood boards. Lacquered or light maple boards should only be wiped with a dry or barely damp cloth – the cleaner in the kit is safe for those, the oil is not needed.

What power do the pedals need?

All our pedals run on standard 9V DC center-negative supplies. The Quiet Current kit powers up to five pedals from one regulated adapter – daisy-chaining from unregulated supplies is where mystery noise comes from.

How fast is shipping?

Orders ship within 2 business days on tracked services. Orders over $59 ship free.

Can I return an item?

Unused items in original packaging return freely within 30 days. Strings are excluded once the seal is broken unless faulty. If anything arrives damaged, write to us with a photo – we replace first and ask questions later.
