Free-blown, which means no mould and therefore no seam anywhere on the glass. Each tumbler is cut off the pipe and the rim is finished by hand, so wall thickness varies a little around the glass and height differs by two or three millimetres between pieces. Held up to a window you will see fine lines in the wall and sometimes a small bubble. That is what free-blown glass looks like.
300 ml to the rim: a normal glass of water, or a generous pour of wine if you drink wine out of tumblers. The base is deliberately thickened so the glass sits heavily and does not tip when it is empty.
Dishwasher safe, but hand washing keeps hand-blown glass clear for longer. Dishwasher detergent etches glass over hundreds of cycles and the cloudy film that leaves is permanent. If it does go in the machine, keep it clear of the heating element and skip the high-temperature programme.
Not tempered and not heat-resistant. Cold drinks only. Do not use it for tea, do not put it in a freezer and do not pour hot water into it to warm it.
