Description

Shou Mei is the coarse end of the white tea family — broad leaf, some stem, picked late. Fresh, it is unremarkable. Given a few years of careful dry storage it becomes something else entirely: the grassiness disappears and a deep, jammy sweetness takes its place.

This lot has been rested in a dry warehouse for several years. It is the tea we give people who say they do not like white tea, and it usually works.

How we drink it

Boiling water, no hesitation. It also takes very well to simmering in a kettle for ten minutes if you want something to sit beside you all afternoon.
