Description
Dan Cong means single bush, and it is meant literally: this style is made in small lots from mature bushes, and each lot has its own character. When one is gone we cannot get more of the same thing.
Honey Orchid is the most approachable of the Dan Cong aromas — stone fruit and flowers rather than the fiercer profiles of some cultivars — but it still carries the family trait: a long, drying, almost stony finish that makes the next sip feel necessary.
How we drink it
This one punishes hot, long brewing. Keep the water a little below the boil and the first infusion very short. If it turns tannic you have gone too far.
