A small workshop, one stone at a time
We buy rough jadeite in Kachin State and finish it ourselves. That is the whole business. There is no second line, no plated silver range, no stones we have not held.
Rough is bought by the piece, not the container. A boulder is cut open with a single window, and what the light does inside that window decides whether it becomes a bangle, a cabochon, or nothing at all. Most of it becomes nothing at all.
Why the photographs look plain
Jadeite is easy to flatter. Warm lamps make grey stone look green; a saturation slider makes commercial grade look imperial. We shoot every piece under the same daylight-balanced light on the same black ground, and we do not touch the colour afterwards. The stone in the photograph is the stone in the box.
What we will tell you
Treatment, origin where the seller disclosed it, every inclusion large enough to see, and what we paid attention to when we chose the piece. If you ask a question we cannot answer honestly, we will say so rather than guess.
