Fifteen Heads

Description

The hardest thing here is keeping fifteen yellows separate without introducing a fourth colour to divide them. It is done with paint thickness instead: the seed heads stand almost a centimetre off the linen, the background is comparatively thin, and the shadow between them is a physical shadow rather than a painted one.
