Every Wickfield candle is poured by hand, one small batch at a time. This is what happens between raw wax and the jar on your shelf.
Blended in-house
Each fragrance starts as a paper sketch of top, heart and base notes, then goes through bench trials until the cold throw, the first light and the last hour all tell the same story. Most blends take a dozen revisions; a few have taken forty.
Poured in small batches
We pour at a low, patient temperature in runs of about sixty jars. Slow pours cure evenly, hold their scent longer and keep the wax surface smooth through seasonal temperature swings.
Rested, not rushed
Every jar rests for two weeks before it ships. Curing lets the fragrance bind fully with the wax – the difference between a candle that smells for an hour and one that scents the whole burn.
Test-burned, end to end
From every batch, jars are pulled and burned to the bottom. We check the melt pool, the wick behaviour and the scent at hour one and hour forty. A batch that will not burn clean does not leave the studio.
