Quietform Acoustics Acoustic Engineering

Acoustic Design Services

Measurement, modelling, specification, manufacture and installation. We can pick up a project at any stage, but the results are best when we start with a tape measure.

How a project runs

Most clients arrive with a room that already exists and a problem they can hear but cannot quite name — an echoey office, a boomy home cinema, a studio that never sounds right. Our job is to understand the room, design the right treatment and deliver it ready to install.

01 — Listen and survey

We start by looking at how the room is built, how it is used and what is bothering you about the sound. For rooms that are not built yet, we work from the drawings instead.

  • A walk-through of the room, in person or by video call.
  • Simple sound measurements to see where the problems are.
  • Notes on construction, furnishings and how the space is used.
  • A clear summary of what we found, in plain language.

02 — Design and preview

We work out what the room needs to sound the way you want it to, and show you the plan before anything is made.

03 — Specification and quote

You receive a treatment layout, drawings for every treated wall and ceiling, and a clear itemised quote. If part of the job is better solved another way, we will say so.

04 — Manufacture

Everything framed is built in our own workshop. Standard products run on a three to five week cycle; made-to-order items take a little longer.

05 — Installation and follow-up

Our own installers, or your contractor working from our details. Either way, the project closes with a check that the room now sounds the way we said it would.

What we do not do

We do not sell panels by the square metre without knowing the room. We do not promise results a product cannot deliver. And we will tell you when the honest answer is that the room needs building work rather than panels.
