Nestfold began with a rented flat, a landlord who forbade drilling, and the discovery that most storage is either disposable plastic or aspirational furniture. We wanted the middle: baskets, boxes and organizers made from honest materials, sized to real shelves and real drawers, priced so a whole room could be sorted without a small loan. So we started making them.
What we make and choose
Everything in the catalogue passes the same three tests in our studio: it must hold its shape loaded, store flat or nested when idle, and survive being moved house. Seagrass and hyacinth come from established weaving co-operatives, bamboo and birch from certified suppliers, and our fabric pieces are woven from recycled fibre. If a sample fails a season of daily use at one of our own homes, it does not ship.

How we work
- Measure first: every listing states dimensions plainly, and sizing questions get answered by a person with a tape measure in reach.
- Honest materials: seagrass, bamboo, recycled fabric – described in plain words, with care instructions that fit on one line.
- Flat over bulky: whatever can fold, nest or stack does, so storage never becomes the thing that needs storing.
