Wall-Mount Drying Rack

$58.00

A birch drying rack that folds flat against the wall and opens to five metres of line – laundry infrastructure that reads as woodwork.

Description

Drying racks live in the middle of rooms, waiting to be tripped over. This one lives on the wall: a birch frame that sits flatter than a picture frame when closed, and swings open to five metres of cotton line when the machine finishes. The geometry puts the lines at a gentle stagger, so shirts hang without touching.

Mounting is two screws into the fixings supplied; the fold action is damped so it opens with one hand and a knee-height laundry basket. In a small flat this is the difference between owning a drying rack and living with one.
