Clearflow EDI-XL 120
High-capacity EDI bank for power station and microelectronics polishing duty.

- 99.92 %Rejection
- 95 %Recovery
- 0.18 kWh/m³Specific energy
Continuous electrodeionization polisher taking RO permeate to 18.2 MΩ·cm without regenerant chemicals.
Continuous deionisation with no regenerant chemicals at all. The stack holds mixed-bed resin permanently regenerated by the applied field, which means no acid, no caustic and no regeneration waste to neutralise.
The Clearflow EDI-ST 40 is a standard Clearflow configuration rated at 4 m³/h of permeate at 95 % system recovery, which is 96 m³ over a continuous day. The published envelope assumes 25 °C, a clean membrane and the design feed analysis; every project is re-projected against the water you actually have before a price is issued.
The array is arranged as single bank, 4 modules in parallel on a common rectifier. Element type is EDI module, 1.0 m³/h dilute flow each, running on heterogeneous ion-exchange membranes with permanently regenerated mixed-bed resin. Design flux is held at 133.3 LMH so the concentrate velocity through the last element stays inside the manufacturer envelope at design recovery — the single most reliable predictor of how long the membranes will last.
| Parameter | Design value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Feed pressure | 4.2 bar | At design feed TDS and 25 °C |
| Trans-membrane differential | 0.90 bar | Clean; change-out trigger at twice this value |
| Feed temperature | 10–40 °C | Output falls roughly 3 % per °C below 25 °C |
| Continuous pH | 5.0–9.0 | Wider band tolerated during cleaning |
| Free chlorine | Max 0.02 mg/L | Continuous exposure limit at the membrane face |
| Concentrate flow | 0.2 m³/h | At design recovery |
Chemical free in service; periodic hot water sanitisation to 80 °C. Control is by Industrial PLC with product resistivity interlock and divert valve. The wetted specification is 316L sanitary tubing, polypropylene module bodies, PVDF valves. Pressurisation is by sanitary 316L feed booster; not applicable.
