FAQ

Quoting, cross-references, ratings, seal kits and lead times.

Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else, ask an engineer.

What information do you need to quote a component?

Three things start every recommendation: the working pressure and flow the circuit runs at, the duty cycle (how often and how hard the component works), and the installation constraints — envelope, mounting, port positions. Fluid type and temperature range refine the recommendation to a committed specification.

Can you match a competitor component we already use?

Usually yes. Send the nameplate photo and the mounting dimensions. Cylinders and pumps follow common interface standards, and where they do not, we confirm fit against drawings before quoting rather than guessing.

How are pressure ratings specified honestly?

Published values are typical ratings under the stated conditions, verified in type testing with margin. Application-specific limits — pressure spikes, temperature extremes, aggressive fluids — are confirmed at quotation. Peak-condition maximums are not a number we trade on.

Do you supply seal kits for older units?

Yes. Kits are matched by model and serial number, and our records keep the mapping for the component’s working life. For units from other manufacturers, send photographs and seal cross-sections — we confirm before shipping.

What are typical lead times?

Stock components ship within days of order confirmation; configured builds such as power units typically run some weeks depending on options and season. Seal kits ordered by serial number ship from stock. The order confirmation states the committed date.

What documentation ships with a component?

Every unit ships with its test record, installation and maintenance instructions, and a serial-numbered spare parts reference. Pressure equipment carries the conformity documentation applicable in the destination market.
