Print Quality & Testing

Live print testing, measured registration and traceable build records.

Brochures are easy to print — precisely our point. This page summarises how a PressLane machine earns its specification before the first unit reaches a customer.

Proven with ink on paper

Every machine model runs live production jobs on our test floor: mixed stocks, real file work, deliberate stops and restarts. Settings that survive job changes, splices and Monday mornings become the delivered defaults; behaviour that only appears on a clean demo sheet does not ship as a claim.

Measured, not eyeballed

Register is checked with a graduated microscope on printed test forms, colour with a spectrophotometer against agreed targets, and cut and fold accuracy with gauges on the finished pile. Numbers go into the machine’s build record — the same numbers our specification pages quote as typical values.

What every unit passes

  • Cylinder and frame geometry measured at defined stations during assembly.
  • Function run of every unit, guard and interlock before crating.
  • A supervised print or converting run with the customer’s own stock where agreed.
  • Safety circuit and guarding audit against the machine safety file.

Documented and traceable

Every machine leaves with its inspection record, settings sheet and serial-numbered parts book. Records stay retrievable by serial number for the machine’s working life. Ask for a sample inspection record with your inquiry.
