Brochures are easy to print. This page summarises how a VitraForm machine earns its specification before the first unit reaches a customer.
Tested on glass, not on paper
Every machine model runs production glass in our test bay before release: real float stock, real coatings, real thickness mixes. Edge finish is checked under magnification, tempered output passes fragment-count testing, and insulating units go through accelerated seal ageing. Settings that survive real glass become the delivered defaults.
A protocol, not a demonstration
Each machine model passes a written verification protocol: geometry and alignment checks against calibrated references, drive and safety interlock verification, thermal profile mapping for heated equipment, and an open-issues list that must close before series release.
What every unit passes
- Frame geometry measured on a calibrated bed at defined fabrication checkpoints.
- Function run of every axis, spindle and conveyor before crating.
- Glass test cut, ground or pressed on the actual machine — witnessed and retained.
- Guarding and safety interlock audit against the machine safety file.
Documented and traceable
Every machine leaves with its inspection record, alignment sheet and serial-numbered parts book. Records stay retrievable by serial number for the machine’s working life. Ask for a sample inspection record with your inquiry.
