Industrial Drive Systems Gear Units and Drive Packages for Industry

Industrial Drive Systems

About Us

A drives manufacturer that answers the phone with an engineer, and puts the calculation in writing.

About Us

Industrial Drive Systems builds industrial gear units, gearmotors and complete drive packages for process plant, bulk handling and heavy industry. Seven families, twelve standard frames, covering everything from small packaging drives to heavy mill duty.

How we work

We are a manufacturer with an applications desk, not a catalogue with a call centre. When you send a duty, an engineer sizes it, and you get back the frame, the ratio, the margin it achieves, the heat check and the shaft load check. If something is marginal, it says so on the sheet.

What is in the building

  • Gear cutting and precision grinding capacity for everything from the smallest frame to the largest.
  • In-house heat treatment with hardness and case depth checked on every batch.
  • A measuring room where finished gears are checked against the design file before assembly.
  • A loaded test bench where every production unit runs before it ships, with temperature and noise logged.
  • An assembly hall with overhead cranes and a controlled clean build area for precision work.

Aftermarket

Every unit is on file by serial number, with its build record, its test photographs and its test sheet. Spares are quoted against that record rather than against a guess at what was fitted. Units returned for repair are stripped, measured and reported before any work is quoted, and you get the report whether or not you place the order.

Standards

Gear ratings, gear quality, mounting dimensions and lubricants all follow recognised international standards, so a unit from us drops into the space and the specification you already have.

Everything on this website — company details, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, project locations and personnel — is illustrative and provided for demonstration purposes.

Applications desk

Send us the duty, not the model number

Give us the required output torque, speed, load character and running hours. Our applications desk returns a sized unit, the service factor it achieves and a thermal check within one working day.
