What to send us
The more of this you have, the faster the answer comes back. If you only have half of it, send half of it — we will ask for the rest.
- Required output torque in Nm, or the belt pull and pulley diameter we can calculate it from.
- Required output speed in rpm, and whether it needs to be variable.
- Load character: uniform, moderate shock or heavy shock.
- Running hours per day, and the number of starts per hour if it is more than a handful.
- Ambient temperature and whether there is any air movement around the drive.
- Mounting arrangement: foot, flange, shaft-mounted with a torque arm, or vertical.
- Any radial or axial load on the output shaft, and where it acts along the shaft.
What comes back
A sized unit with the ratio and the motor, the service factor it actually achieves against your duty, a thermal check at your ambient, an overhung load check at the real load position, a mass figure and a 2D outline. One working day for a standard selection, longer if it needs a special.
