The Kestrel strips the Marlow back to its essentials and loses nearly two kilograms in the process. It keeps the low step-through frame and the upright bars, but swaps the internal hub for a clean five-speed setup that covers everything a flat city asks of it.
Light enough for stairs
At just under thirteen kilograms it is genuinely liftable — a real consideration if your bicycle lives in a hallway or a fourth-floor flat rather than a shed.
Carries properly
The rear rack is brazed to the frame rather than bolted to the dropouts, so it stays silent under load and takes a pannier on either side without swaying. Front basket mounts are built into the head tube.
