Description

Adirondack red spruce is stiffer and denser than Sitka, which is a polite way of saying it does not compress. Drive it hard and it simply gets louder. Over Honduran mahogany, which strips overtone clutter and leaves the fundamental standing, this is the most direct instrument in the catalogue and the one that records cleanest under a vocal.

The nut is a wider 1.75 inch to suit players who move between a pick and their fingers. Tortoiseshell-pattern binding, a bone nut and saddle, and an ebony bridge with a 2.25 inch string spacing at the saddle. Expect it to sound tight for the first six months; Adirondack takes its time.
