Description
Small guitars are usually a compromise on tone or a compromise on construction. This one is neither: solid Sitka top, solid sapele back and sides, hide glue, a proper dovetail neck joint and a bone nut. It is simply smaller.
The 23.5 inch scale means a light set pulls only about 118 pounds, so the top can be thinned and the bracing lightened without risking it. Tune it to concert pitch or put mediums on and drop to D — it will take either.
