Everything else in a liquid loop can be perfect and the deployment will still fail if the couplings drip. The Q4 is the part that decides whether your operations team trusts the technology.

Under a drop

A Q4 disconnect releases less than 0.05 mL of coolant — visibly a droplet on the face of the coupling, not a run down the rack. Mating admits under 0.03 mL of air, which matters because entrained air is what makes a pump cavitate three weeks later.

Five thousand cycles

We cycle test to 5,000 mates with no measurable degradation in seal performance. In a colocation rack where a chassis might be swapped monthly for a decade, that is the entire service life with margin left over.

Blind-mate tolerance

A server slid into a rail does not arrive at the same coordinate twice. The Q4 body floats ±2.5 mm in the bracket, so the coupling finds the port instead of the technician finding the coupling.

This unit rejects 60 kW. Widening the temperature difference across the loop cuts the volume of water you have to move — and pump power falls with roughly the cube of flow.
