The design

The varying well depths are cut to a precise mathematical sequence that scatters sound evenly instead of bouncing it straight back. The result is a room that stays lively and open without the harsh slap of a bare wall.

Where to use it

  • The rear wall of a listening room or studio, behind the seating.
  • Behind the seating row in a home cinema to widen the sweet spot.
  • Opposite a hard bare wall to break up echo between the two.

Distance matters

A scattering panel needs a little space to do its work. If your rear wall is right behind your head, an absorbing panel is the better choice — and we will say so on the drawing.
