The PL-B450 binds softcover books, catalogues and manuals with hot-melt adhesive in a single-clamp cycle: milling, notching, gluing, cover nipping and delivery. It is sized for the short-run book work that digital presses feed — dozens to hundreds of copies, often of different titles in the same hour.
Book thickness sets automatically from a caliper station, and the cover scoring unit positions its creases from the same measurement, so a thickness change between titles does not send the operator around the machine with a wrench. Glue temperature and film thickness hold to setpoint through the shift.
