Overview

The FL-FS300 meters starch or pigment solution onto both transfer rolls with rod beds, then transfers the film to the web in a single soft nip. Compared with a pond size press, film transfer runs faster, breaks less and puts the solution where it belongs — on the surface, not flooded into the sheet.

Rod diameter and loading set the film thickness side by side, so two-sided products can run different pickups without a rebuild. Roll covers are specified to the solution chemistry, and both rolls crown-compensate under load to hold a flat nip.

The frame includes an integrated web turn-up path and hood connections for after-dryers. Rod beds slide out sideways for cleaning during grade changes.
