The FL-SC450 pairs a heated thermo roll with a polymer-covered backing roll, glossing the surface in a soft nip that preserves bulk and stiffness — the finish of a calender without the density penalty of a hard stack.
Thermo roll heating is by circulating oil with zone trim, so surface temperature holds flat across the width. Cover hardness is chosen to the grade window, and the loading system compensates cover deflection automatically as line load changes.
One-nip and two-nip arrangements share the same frame family; a two-nip machine glosses both sides in a single pass. The unit installs on-machine before the reel or off-machine with its own unwind and windup.
