The TX-SP8M kit packs a curvilinear-tooth synchronous belt with its matched pulley pair, so a drive that must hold ratio — camshafts, feed rolls, indexing tables — gets positive engagement instead of friction and hope. The 8 mm tooth pitch carries industrial torque at a fraction of a chain’s weight and none of its lubrication.
Belts are glass-cord reinforced with a wear-resistant nylon tooth facing; pulleys are machined from steel or aluminium by size and come flanged to keep tracking honest. Because synchronous drives run at low static tension, shaft and bearing side loads drop compared with V-belt equivalents.
The kit sheet lists centre-distance and tension values for each length, turning installation into a checklist rather than a judgement call.
